OCC Simulation

Avansim's Operations Control Centre (OCC) Simulation provides a fully simulated control-room environment for training the personnel responsible for monitoring and managing an entire transport network. The system accurately replicates the screens, interfaces and operational workflows used within the live control centre, including real-time AI-controlled vehicle movements, train traffic, CCTV feeds, signalling systems and incident-management tools.

Controllers can practise managing normal operations, planned disruptions, service irregularities and emergency situations within a realistic environment, without creating any risk to live services.

Previously recorded sessions can be replayed and adapted to explore alternative "what-if" scenarios, including different approaches to service regulation, recovery and reformation. This allows the effectiveness of individual strategies to be compared directly and objectively, supporting both competency assessment and operational improvement.

The simulation can be configured to reproduce the layout, systems and software of a specific network's OCC, ensuring that the knowledge, skills and procedures developed during training transfer directly to the live control-room environment.
